Is your blood pressure through the roof? Are you sick of taking medications, and want to try a more natural, healthy alternative?

What if I told you I GUARANTEE you lower your blood pressure significantly and lose ten pounds in just six short weeks by switching from coffee to green tea. Not only that but you will be lowering the amount of caffeine you drink too.

How does green tea lower blood pressure?

Green tea contains phytochemicals which has anti-inflammatory properties. These properties, known as catechins, causes blood vessels to relax and create better blood flow. Research has proven that drinking just a half a cup of green tea daily will reduce your chance for heart disease by more than half.

High blood pressure causes such serious conditions as heart disease, strokes, and kidney damage. Some doctors refer to high blood pressure as the silent killer, due to the fact that it has no symptoms until its too late.

It blows me away at how many continue not to drink green tea, when its a fact that it lowers high blood pressure by such a large amount. I mean how easy is it to drink a cup of tea? There are so many great benefits to drinking green tea on a regular basis, it should be against the law not to drink it!

Not to take anything away from green tea capsules, but I enjoy drinking my tea. Although I cant always brew a cup of green tea. That’s what I like so much about these capsules. I could be on a plane heading to Anguilla beach and still get my green tea fix with a quick capsule.

What’s really amazing about these green tea capsules is how they are scientifically engineered to be more potent then any glass of tea you will ever drink. Some of the capsules out today are equal to about 10 cups of green tea, without all the caffeine.

So if you love the benefits of green tea but you tend to stay away from caffeine, capsules are your answer. My mother who is 79 years old loves these capsules I got for her. She told me she can tell the difference of not getting all the caffeine. I guess I don’t use the green tea capsules enough to notice, because I only bring them out in what I like to call “no green tea emergencies”.

Enjoy the taste of drinking a warm glass of green tea? Then why not have some good ol’ green tea ice cream, or how about a fantastic iced green tea? These are some of my personal favorite recipes that will get your taste buds tingling.

Green Mint Frozen Tea

This is a quick and easy recipe, and it’s a perfect way to start your kids drinking healthy beverages. It only takes about 15 minutes of brewing, and then about of hour of sitting in the freezer.

Formula:

four cups of hot water

three bags of green tea

about a half of cup of fresh mint leaves

a tablespoon of organic cane sugar

one cup of wine (optional)

Mix the all the ingredients said above, and put it on the stove. Let boil for about five or ten minutes. Afterwards I like to put mine in the freezer for about forty-five minutes, or until its a slushie. If you have a smoothie maker it will make it alot easier.

I Scream for Green Tea Ice Cream

Who doesn’t like ice cream? I love green tea ice cream, my wife and I make it by the gallon, and send it some to freinds and family.

Formula:

two cups of skim milk

about 1/4 cup green tea leaves

2/3 cup of organic cane sugar

2 egg yolks

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 cup heavy cream

First, you must boil your milk with your green tea leaves. Mix until its a healthy green. Then let it sit in the fridge overnight.

Mix organic cane sugar into egg yolks until its nice and thick. Then mix in your cornstarch.

Put the milk and tea leaves you boiled the night before through a strainer, so that all of the green tea leaves are removed. Then mix with the second mixture above mentioned. Afterward wisk it while on the stove until its a little thick, we don’t want it to boil so keep it on a low flame.

When its good and thick, strain custard and put in a big bowl. Let it cool down, and then mix your cream and stir it in. Then throw it back in the fridge until chilled.

Now, your all ready to put it in your ice cream maker, and you got a nice healthy ice cream treat!

People often ask me, out of all the benefits of green tea, which one do you treasure the most? I playfully retort, the one that keeps me looking good!

All jokes aside, green tea can greatly help fight signs of old age. Actually, it can help several different aspects that would generally be related to becoming an old fart. If your not a green tea drinker and you are interested in some of the anti-aging benefits, or even if you are already a green tea-aholic like me, this article is for you.

Green tea gives you extra energy
If getting sluggish and lazy isn’t a part of getting old, I don’t know what is. People nowadays turn to energy drinks full of sugar to give them a jump start. Why not go with a healthy, natural choice instead, like green tea. Green tea has been proven to improve endurance while exercising to up to 25%.

It’s proven to help illnesses such a depression
They say the best cure for getting old is laughter, well if you are depressed you don’t let out many chuckles. That’s why I chose this as another reason green tea helps old age. The University of San Francisco did research that proved that the polyphenols in green tea sky rocket’s positive thoughts and improves circuitry in the brain.

What the anti-oxidents do for old age
The anti-oxidents found in green tea are known to slow down the aging process by relieving the body of any unneeded properties in the body. The anti-oxidents also rejuvenate skin tissue, which will slow down the process of getting wrinkles.

That’s just three of hundreds of examples there are that correlate green tea and fighting old age symptoms. I could go on all day long talking about these benefits (I have before, ask my wife), but for the sake of time I condensed the list.

This is a popular question in the green tea community. The answer is yes, but the follow up question is a bit tricky.

If green tea does indeed contain caffeine, how much?

Well, to answer this questions there are different variables that come into play. Which makes it hard for me to give you a simple answer.

The fact is that every cup of tea is different. If you went and bought ten different cups of green tea, I guarantee that none of them would have the same amount of caffeine as the next. Not only does it depend on what brand of green tea leaves you buy, the way you prepare your tea will change the amount of caffeine in your healthy beverage.

The time that you let your tea brew can cause an affect on how much caffeine is in your cup of tea. Sounds crazy I know, but it’s true. Even the temperature of the water you use before the tea starts to brew will alter your caffeine level.

In an opened pack of green tea every pack of tea will have a different amount of caffeine. So I cant tell you how much green tea contains, but I can tell you that the average amount of caffeine is around 20mg a cup. Which is about a quarter the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee, and about half as much as black tea. So there isn’t much to be concerned about, especially when you factor in all the great benefits of green tea.

Yes, I know every tea enthusiast has seen the list of benefits that are on 99.9% of green tea websites. In fact, you may have seen that list on our page somewhere. Well, I have a list with a few little known benefits, that you didn’t know about.

We all know that green tea is good for arthritis, but did you know that it can be used as an air freshener? I was shocked also. Turns out when you leave a bowl of tea leaves in a room it deodorizes it within the matter of minutes.

Tired of buying baking soda to keep the smell out of your fridge? Easy, uncovered tea leaves will do the trick. I personally think that it works better than baking soda, I love opening my fridge and smelling fresh green tea leaves.

Green tea even shows aid to skin problems. Say your ready for a fun day at the beach, but you have no sun tan lotion. Easy, put some green tea in a water bottle and squirt it on yourself like sun tan lotion. Also you can use it on blemishes or scars due to anti-bacterial properties.

Not impressed yet?

How about this, you can use green tea as mouth wash, due to the fact that it contains flouride. No more buying listerine, you have the super natural healer, green tea.

Bad posture? No problem, green tea is great for bones. The large volume of minerals that green tea contains makes bones strong and dense. Who needs milk!

After work has never been the same since I learned that green tea is great for feet. I usually soak my feet once a week for about 45 minutes or so. It’s great if for fighting off any kind of foot fungi.

The fact is, nobody knows how many benefits green tea possesses, everyday it seems we find something new.

I guess the real question is, what can’t this miracle plant do?
